Launch of VESPI project

Help Us Launch the VESPI Project — Turning Italian Agri-Waste into Green Vesicle Technology for Health and the Planet

We’re building the first green nanovesicle research platform in Northern Italy to transform agricultural residues into powerful, natural bioactive vesicles.

The VESPI Project (Vesicles from Agri-Residues for Sustainable Plant and Biomedical Innovation) uses only water-based, membrane filtration to isolate Plant-Derived Extracellular Vesicles (PDEVs) — tiny natural carriers rich in antioxidants, lipids, RNAs, and proteins.

Our goal is to study their antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and antitumor potential and use them as eco-compatible nanocarriers for natural and synthetic active molecules.

Your support will help us purchase a Repligen Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) system (€30,000) — the key instrument for isolating PDEVs cleanly and efficiently — and fund early bioactivity tests in collaboration with UniTO, and local SMEs in Piemonte.

Help us show that sustainable health innovation can start from vineyards and orchards — and grow into a new circular bioeconomy.
